Election & Other Updates

To keep you up to date on all things NJHEWA, at our last meeting we held executive board elections. Here are the outcomes:

  • President – Justin Jackson, Drew University
  • Vice President – Cindy Mehnigan, Montclair State University
  • Secretary – Matthew Pierce, Montclair State University
  • Treasurer – Thomas DiStefano, UMDNJ School of Nursing

We’re also in the process of revamping the NJHEWA.org site, which will be a topic of discussion at the next meeting.

October Meeting at Montclair State

Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 5th at Montclair State University in the Sprague Library at Montclair State University at 10 a.m.

Agenda 

We’ll be trying out a slightly new format for the meetings going forward, which will include more structured presentations from individuals on projects or ideas they’re interested in. We have this meeting covered, but if you’d like to present something at an upcoming meeting please let us know!

Our current agenda for the next meeting is as follows:

  • 5 minute catch ups/introductions in the am
  • Group Discussion Topics, presented by the Executive Board
    • The New HEWA site, features and discussion of expansion
    • New/useful open source tools that aren’t wordpress
    • Saving money, ideas and examples
