Other Summer Conferences

Our own Stephen Schur of Ramapo College would like to promote the:

Penn State Responsive Design & The Mobile Web Conference

  • State College, PA, June 11 – 12

According to the group, “The Web Conference at Penn State is an annual event that brings together committed individuals in the higher education web community who want to learn, listen, connect, engage, and do. From content strategy to programming, this conference covers it for Penn State and beyond. 2012 is no exception. This year, we are pleased and excited to offer a conference focused on responsive design and the mobile web, examining the rise of mobile devices and what this means to web professionals living in–and dealing with–a multi-platform world.”

January Meeting Announcement (update)

The first joint NJHEWA (New Jersey Higher Education Webmaster’s Association) + MAWG (Mid-Atlantic Webmaster’s Group) meeting!

Come together with webmasters from both groups to brainstorm, share stories and collaborate on all the topics we face in higher ed.

Directions

Since I usually find myself wandering a little once I get to a new campus, here’s some specific directions (and an attached image) that should help:

From Madison Ave, take the Lancaster Rd. Drew entrance (the only one with a stop light).

Park in the Tilghman lot immediately to your right, then walk back across the road you came in on, passing Dorothy Young Center for the arts on your left and Wesley House (college admission) on your right.

By now you can see a parking circle with a horseback statue & a huge columned building ahead of you, that’s Mead Hall. Walk right up the steps into the front entrance (a large green door). Open the door and you’re looking right at the venue. See you there!

Other Details

Food will be provided, and parking is free.

We’ll also be planning a happy hour from 3:30-5 down the street for all attendees! Stay tuned for details. Let us know if you’re staying locally Sunday night, Tryon and I will be happy to host a gathering if enough people are around.
