History

In April, 2005, Tryon Eggleston of Bloomfield College and Stephen Schur of Ramapo College of New Jersey reached out to webmasters of New Jersey institutions of higher education via email to join the “New Jersey HigherEd Webmasters group”.

The goal was that this new group would provide New Jersey higher education webmasters with an opportunity to share their experiences, concerns, technology breakthrough and ideas while getting to know one another.

June, 2005 Meeting

The first meeting was held on June 1 at the Ramapo College campus and featured a discussion on portals, and usability. Most of the people in the group became the Steering Committee for the new organization.
